More about the author, Chris A. Knobbe, M.D., Ophthalmologist. Having graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Colorado, he subsequently completed a transitional internship at Denver Presbyterian and St. Luke’s Hospital systems before completing his residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. Dr. Knobbe is now in private practice in the Dallas, Texas area. He has specialized in cataract and refractive surgery since beginning private practice in 1994. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. My Aunt just had her eyes done at Long Island Eye Care... her descision was totally influenced by reading this and two other books on eye surgeries. She ended up avoiding Lasik and going with Mike Sable, a master. No scaring or pain, on visible anything 24 hours after the procedure...no dry eye... go to the Jordan of Surgery in your area if you are messing with your eyes. Cut no corners and read and study to inform this most crittical of descisions.
